About TokenWake

An implementation of the Dynamic Complexity Framework.

The Dynamic Complexity Framework is Tier Zero's patent-pending engine. It derives how a complex system will behave from its structure rather than from its history — which is why it can answer questions about a system that has never run.

The framework is Patrick Barletta's work. TokenWake is the product built on it, and it is what happened when the engine was pointed at AI cost. Every other thing it does is at tierzerosolutions.io.

The founders

Who builds it.

Founder & System Architect

Patrick Barletta

Patrick doesn't build conventional software — he models chaos. His foundation is elite competitive optimization rather than standard computer science: he holds a world record in Factorio's notoriously punishing Pyanodons Alternative Energy, controlling an exponentially expanding, violently unstable network faster than anyone on earth has managed it. An agentic AI workflow is the same problem. He carried that into quantitative research, had it producing live alpha inside a year, and built everything TokenWake rests on.

Co-Founder & Strategic Operations Director

Regina Toffolo

Regina brings 28 years in decision infrastructure — 23 of them at PNC Bank, supporting credit-decisioning systems at institutional scale, and five before that as a business systems analyst at Integic, building financial systems for the Navy. The work: translating advanced mathematics into compliance-ready, regulation-aligned solutions — the bridge between what the method proves and what an enterprise governance team can sign off on.

Why we built it

Why did we point the Dynamic Complexity Framework at tokens?

Somebody asked us to.

The engine came first, busy elsewhere. Then somebody who had watched it work asked whether the same math could price an AI workflow before it was built. It could — because AI spend looks like a forecasting problem and is actually a structural one. What drives it isn't last quarter's usage, it is the shape of the work. TokenWake became the flagship because that question turns out to be everywhere.

How we know it works

Our predictive evidence.
Independently scored.

Forecasting the S&P 500 and forecasting AI cost are the same problem — predicting performance of a complex system. Our engine does both.

Cumulative alpha on Zero's live S&P 500 predictions, scored by Numerai, an elite global quant tournament. Resolved rounds, 2026 season.
Alpha is what predictions add beyond the market — a rising line is a market being beaten, round after round. Redrawn from Numerai's own chart, 3 August 2026.

This is the same test TokenWake sets itself:
predict performance in advance.

On the record

  • Two patents pending
  • NVIDIA Inception Program
  • 17 benchmarks validated
  • Five operational domains

Benchmarks are validated for the Dynamic Complexity Framework — the same engine, unmodified, across chaos forecasting, computational fluid dynamics, large-scale simulation and equities. Each one is itemized at tierzerosolutions.io.
